Frequently Asked Questions

If you would like to dip your toes in and begin with a treatment or two it isn't necessary to consult with our in-house Vaidya (Ayurvedic Doctor) but for full Panchakarma it is necessary as we need to know whether your physiology is ready for this deeply purifying programme. If in doubt, please get in touch and we can discuss this with you.

Yes, treatments are available for men too.

It's really important to point out however than men's treatments are delivered by our male friends, not the team at Your Ayurveda.

Panchakarma treatments are always delivered for ladies by ladies and for men by men.

Please visit our booking page and let us know you're interested in treatments for men and we can put you in touch with the right person.

We offer a wide range of treatments which can last anywhere from an hour up to several days.

In some cases, the Vaidya may recommend a 5 or 7 day plan. In these cases, we will provide accommodation and meals during your stay at the centre.

Yes. We use Maharishi Ayurveda certified, organic oils, herbs and pastes during your treatment.

As part of the booking process we will discuss this in more detail to ensure any allergies are taken in to consideration.

You can call on 07501981722 or drop us an email at hello@yourayurveda.co.uk

Ladies should not have Maharishi Panchakarma treatment during the first three days of the menstrual period. Take care to schedule your treatment programme so that no part of it coincides with the first three days of a period. This includes preparatory home treatment, treatment at the centre, and the concluding home treatment immediately following treatment at the centre. If a period does occur during treatment, it will be necessary to stop the treatment for three days. If your periods are irregular, be sure to mention this to the consultant when scheduling your treatment.

The ideal time to begin preparatory home treatment is immediately following a period.

We do not advise treatment during pregnancy. If you are intending to become pregnant, it is best to defer this for two months after your treatment so that you get the maximum benefits.

Modified Panchakarma procedures are highly recommended to restore balance to the physiology after giving birth. The residual Vata imbalance following birth is often the starting point for problems that occur later in life.
